I have a friend who has a condition where she says strange things and sometimes feels high and extremely low so many people say its bipolar disorder does any have firends or relatives with bipolar disorder could you please tell me how you handle things with them.

This sounds like bipolar disorder you need to get her to a phychiatrist i also have a friend who has bipolar disorder, bipolar means the mood swings in to opposite directions either the person feels extemely high or low

I had a neighbour who had bipolar disorder and he can be very rude to us at times we used to get into serious arguments with but recently we found out from another neighbour that he has bipolar and now we dont get into arguments anymore.

I guess the more knowledge you have about the condition the more understanding you can show to the person.

Bipolar disorder i feel is a treatable illness however medication is essential, if there is someone is there to monitor the medication the person can lead a normal life. i have cousin who is married to a man with bipolar who used to be very arrogant but since hes on medication which is properly monitored by my cousin he seems to be doing fine.

A drug is said to be a mood stabilizer if it provides relief from acute episodes of mania or depression, or prevent them from occurring and it does not worsen depression or mania or lead to increased cycling. There are four classes of medications being used for stabilization of bipolar disorder:
